100-Sec Film Festival wraps up in Tehran

The 11th edition of 100-Sec Film Festival has announced the winners of different sections on Friday.

Being held from February 22-24, the festival wrapped up on Friday in the Iranian capital, Tehran.

The 2017 edition of the event sent films on screen in three categories of Ethic and Lifestyle, Ethic and Work, and Ethic and Resistance Economy.

“We received 1,744 works, including 1,548 films in Ethic and Lifestyle, 140 films in Ethic and Work and 56 in Ethic and Resistance Economy,” Ali Qorbani the secretary of the festival noted.

In the international section, the event secretariat received 1,970 films from 101 countries, of which 59 films from 27 countries were selected.

The festival ran at the Azadi Cineplex located at the intersection of Beheshti and Vozara streets, for three days.

The closing ceremony was held on Friday at Andisheh auditorium of Hozeh-Honari (Art Bureau), located at the intersection of Hafez Avenue and Taleqani Street, when awards of the event - the festival statuette, honorary diploma, and $3,000 to three films selected by the jury - were presented to the winners.

Every year, hundreds of short films are selected for the festival from among some 2,000 films that are submitted to the event's secretariat.
